It's these days of High School and SOCCER.....

Our ladies took home Sunset League Championship on Thursday night.  It was all I expected, and more.  When I arrived at the field,  I said my little prayer in the car.  I listened to my favorite songs along the way...I pray to keep our girls safe, along with fair Ref's and respectful opponents.  I always walk to the field with this amazing feeling.  I love to watch them play.  I love soccer. I love these days.  These days are far more than these girls and coaches even know.  These are the days....

When they meet, they set themselves up for a bond.

And this bond includes things like holding hands during the opening process at the biggest game of the season. Connecting the ties.

And when Coach stands in the middle of this bond....it all matters.

It says, "everything is gonna be alright".....because positive words move mountains..

You wake up those compliments, and you thrive. You seek to meet the expectations that are set out there....to prove things right for Coach and your team and the families that hold things all together.
you build a confidence unlike any other....(-cute part of this picture? Coach Steve's Dad is always present at the games....you will see him tucked in a corner, just watching...and I watched this father/son connection many times during the game...and to me, it's the little sweet things like this.  You.  Your Dad. This big game.  These are the days...no matter how old you are...and no matter who you are.)
with minutes left of the biggest game of the year.  score is 3-0 vs. Newport Harbor
our girls begin to stand...and the crowd goes nuts....(yes that's our little Gio's head...whom came out to support his girl...)
the Varsity boys come to support.  swoon.
 Baseball boy.  ha

the minute left is the biggest moment of this season...

and the rush to goalie Savannahhhhhhhhh

boom.
Sunset League winning tunnel, sponsored by Varsity Boys....ha.

Just like that.....

Sunset League Champions 2013

One of the first persons I texted, was my cousin Mindi.  She played club soccer and all through high school, soon landing at UCSB.  Her response was "those were some of the best days of my life". So now starts the short path to CIF.  It's like anything else.  Prep. Do. Work. Figure. Accomplish.  Have a great weekend everyone. What do you want from it?  Peace?  Workout?  Rest? Strong coffee?  A good glass of wine?  Wonderful dinner?  Well, go do it.  You deserve it. Fix yourself up a little, put on your favorite outfit, or coziest stuff and do it. Because, I said so. ha.  And remember to drive slow and careful, keeping your patience hat on while you steer behind someone learning, or the elderly.   And always, always, be kind to animals. They do count.  Trust me.
Happy Weekend Lova's.  i hope it's filled with love.
