Bonfires...Birthday's.......and BIG BEACH WINS!!

Our friday night started with a peaceful margarita happy hour on the dock...followed by a fun bonfire with friends at Bolsa Chica State Beach.... Here's a shot of Bill's smore...burnt nice and toasty...(I've never liked smores..yuk....lol) But they sure look neat being made and served....especially watching those that love them enjoy....

Jodi..the bonfire birthday girl....and her niece from Chicago....

My smore.

I love to see pictures of hugs. Especiall of friends for many years...Carmen and Brenda....it's that feeling of "there you are"....let the fun begin hug....

Carmen and Randy....

Bonfire buddies.....Carmen and I sporting our new FATAL hats....so cute!

6 plus 6. Mr. Jordan is finally 12! We celebrated saturday night after 2 games with Jordan and his family....with good food, wine and yummy cake...lots of laughter too!

Jordan the birthday boy...such a great kid. Of course I filled a box with Fatal goodies...hats, shirts, socks, and stickers...

I hope to celebrate many many more with this boy...I can't wait to compare pictures when he's turning 18, and much much taller than me.....Happy 12th Birthday JoJo. You awesome kid.

On to Sunday's final day for tournament. Pyramid Cup. BEACH Rocked that field!

I know I'm a silly head with "the little things"....but the Corn guy came by with his cart....full of corn, snow cones, and Mango's. I love seeing these guys. A simple cart, with a spray painted sign stating $1.50, and the ever so famous honking hand held horn. Coming from me the germaphobe...it's odd, but yes, I love it. I love to get a corn covered in powdered cheese and chili with a touch of lemon, it's yummy and simple. Well this guy breaks out his mango knife and starts creating these super cute mango flowers on stick, sprinkled with hot chili powder and lime.

Girls...we CAN do this. Work hard. Play hard. It DOES pay.

My view for 2 days...and 4 games. So beautiful. Nothing better than watching my little sweets kick butt out there....and cheering from the sidelines....It's been 10 years and many different fields and seasons of watching her play...driving many many distances near and far....and I know my days are limited..I know the time will come, the cleats will be put up, the soccer chairs emptied from my trunk...no more schedule on my calendar...no more training sessions to drop and pick up from....the many empty water bottles that sometimes litter my backseat and her backpack...just like that...it will end..for now...I say "GO GET EM Kali...." Go get em.

Kali and Mac called as Captains for the start.....let's get this game started.....

Took that win. Just like that.

Game #4 Sunday afternoon. We won....we won...WE WON!!!!

High 5 to our Goalie whom I share a bias love for.... Great girl, great goalie....great saves. WE DID IT! Sheer excitement. Determined hardwork. TEAMWORK PAYS.

My beautiful #6. She's smiling inside still from her beautiful goal. Every goal scored by any girl during our game makes my eyes fill with tears. I'm so happy for them. I could only imagine what that feels like inside as the field gets quickly quiet before the sting, and suddenly the field rants all for you. When Kali scores I try to cheer but I can't because I am crying inside. Eventually my excitement is heard, but for the moment I melt for her. So awesome.....

Forever my CHAMPION. My sweet Miss. Kali. So so proud of her.

Best friends...sharing the VICTORY together.....Mac and Kee-

" Beach Soccer Club" U16 Girls. You showed the entire tournament, families, friends, parents and teammates what the definition of "Triumph" is. So happy for all of you. New girls, new team...looks like the recipe is working!

Yes, you did it. #1.

I worked the checkin booth, and shortly after the trophy was delivered, I stood up to check it out, admiring...all along praying that Kali's team could win this. Just for them. For their spirit. For their hardwork, and the losses they've endured. Just to make this the victory. And they did it. 4 games, 2 days...sunshine, good friends...and the perfect busy weekend-

It's Fair time......

I've always been petrified of all rides...especially these types...the higher the scarier...I am afraid of heights. OR should I say my insides literally turn upside down and I can't even speak. So scared. But these are so pretty to me....just to see the smiles on everyones faces...the giggles from the kids....the sounds of the music....If you check their website throughout the week, they have various specials..for example last year on one day if you brought a children's book you were granted one free entrance...so check before you head out...pack your camera, pack your sunblock, and a little blanket to plant yourself somewhere grassy...and go make memories...!

A couple of years ago Kali and I did a Mommy/Daughter date at the fair. Just the two of us...and we had a blast. It was nice going along at our own little schedule and our own little pace. We went from one side where the games were, right over to the farm and gardens...we ate to our hearts content...AND then she asked me to get on this skyride. Let me just say...I can't look over, I lose all parental rights and reins. I almost fret to tears. I want off, I can't talk. I am sheer panic stricken. It's awful. Kali laughed, and threatened to rock it until I almost cried....she felt bad after realizing just how scared her strong mommy was. Once I was off, I promised myself...I WILL NEVER put myself through that again. Simple as that. yuck.

Centennial Farms is absolutely adorable. The cutest farm open year round for those with little ones...those interested in Farm or Garden life. This is the place. The cute baby piggies, the mama cows nursing their young...the picture perfect grown zuchinni or super large competition tomatoe....just a really neat part of the fair. While you visit the garden area, stop by the indoor part, and usually on the desk are free handouts of vegetable/fruit seeds. It's the little things....

This year, Kali is interested in goin' with a group of friends....most likely catching a concert...probably enjoying the crazy foods of choice this year such as "Fried Ice Cream, Fried brownies..and the newest "Fried Bacon"- eww. Just saying this makes my tummy hurt....When you're young you can enjoy the craziness of food.....for me? The warm summer nights walking around watching people and the cute little ones dressed with bows in their hair, or overall's on the little boys...full of excitement at being at the fair.....SUMMERTIMES SURPRISES.....

The blinds are in......

We finally got a phone call from Dave our Blind's guy. "The blinds are in".....So...without a soccer schedule, we decided to head out of town...Kali didn't want to do the turn around...and we didn't push her, instead we took the time for ourselves...It's always nice to cruise up alone...spend time the way we want...laugh and cuddle and laugh some more....(Above pic out of order :/ ) Uh oh...still posting with words on the top. lol The weather couldn't of been more perfect. The highs on Friday and Saturday 103. Light winds and clear skies...just the way we love it.
After tinkering just a little around the house, actually close to nothing...I normally rinse the porch off, but this time, I just rinsed the back...where'd we be spending some time......I packed our Trader Joe snacks....we launched...and did just what we wanted. No schedule...no plans...just to get in the boat and head out.... There's something about being alone...and the two of us understanding eachothers wishes and dreams...it's the years of me chatting away and being a chatterbox, that I've learned to just sit back and enjoy the silence with him..let the fun step in front of us. Let the day make it's way of what we might need. Bill has always had lots on his mind, lots of engineering and thoughts..meanwhile...I'm the planner, the organizer...of what we're doing next...so when we step away from our normal routine and just be us...it makes for a wonderful time being us. Just being Bill and Lisa.....(We did manage to bask in the Havasu sun with our fellow naked turtles Jaymee and Sean-Silly times of course! Kidnapped and all!) .....Hakuna Matata....
Funny Bill did get alot of pictures of me this time. Usually the snappin' is in my hands....
I was so peaceful. So content.
In the background playin' of course is my favorite Bad Company or Jack Johnson...just looking at these pictures will take me right back to the moment....
One of my favorite destinations is Havasu Springs....it's a nice boat ride, when the kids were little they'd play games, we get snacks and of course a cocktail-
The cutest part of this place is this little Hamburger Joint..set right up on the top of the dock...it's simplicity and service are what make it rock. Seriously these boys endure hot days and probably buzzed people...but they hold themselves accountable for some amazing burgers....The system they have for orders and deliveries are exceptional. Simple hollar' "Lisa ORDER UP" and then the hacklers around the patio mimic the same and it's just laughter all around. I love stuff like that....so yummy. So cute. These boys are so sweet! (It's where my germaphobe must subside for occasion)
Bill watching FUEL TV....Motorcross on....perfect.
Cuddly wuddly.....
Havasu Springs....Good times.
On our way back we spot our ol' favorite cove. It's something sweet to pull into...with our picnic basket...cool drinks...and floating noodles....
Smile Mama.
So funny I asked Bill to program the camera to do an automatic shot of both of us....Well, he loves gadgets and programming anything...so he finally gets it all set...with longer seconds in between...and each time, he just couldn't get in the water fast enough. It was good entertainment for me. I just sipped and laughed and sipped and laughed...!
And blew bubbles.....

And here's another try! hahahaaa
This dragonfly insisted on hanging with Mama Fatal. So cute.
He's on my hand here....
So sweet....
Anyone that goes to Havasu knows this lighthouse...it sits just past Copper Canyon...heading past my cousin Monica and Kevin's place....
And just like that, our weekend wrapped up with our Big Sliding Glass doors covered with their new Blinds to keep ALL the sun out on poolside...Until next time.....Cheers to Havabrew!

I missed K & K....and especially these little munchkins....Buddies for one more week. Notice little kitties paw over Bucksie's nose....so cute....
