Soccer...Sand...MotoX Flips....Christmas in Cali.....2011

After a long week, and ending with the onset of a cold...Friday night kept us in while I made a sweet little dinner...wrapped gifts..and tried very hard to find energy. That's a sign for me when I have absolutely no energy...also knowing we had a 7am check in...I fell into a deep sleep...
Knowing the clock is ticking for Good ol' St. Nick....my peaceful moments in the sand. December on the beach. While drawing in the sand I notice these little twigs. I couldn't help but make a cross on top of this lump left in the sand...I presume, earlier sat a sand castle...So I built around it. One little shell that sits next to the cross resembles a surfboard. So cute. Such little things that make me smile....

My wish for PEACE on Earth to all...especially my friends and family.....
And while Kris enjoyed Moto-X with the guys out in San Diego....I LOVE his silly face...sarcasm at it's best! "Looking to buy beer" We spent the entire Saturday watching Kali play 3 games. In the rain...in the wind. We won, lost, and won....
Derrick doing his magic. Kris and Derrick would ride their bikes when they were little behind a track...When I would arrive to pick Kris up, they'd all make me sit and watch Derrick do his magic on his bike. That has now merged into Moto-X. He took 3rd place. Rode along with "Twitch" and the gang...Good fun weekend out for all the boys.... Fun times!

Bill and I enjoyed a quiet dinner at our fav spot Sunset Pasta....and awoke to a morning to ourselves...I could sit on the sand and play with shells all day long....
Picture out of order...Kris and Angela at the Casino in San Diego where the race was held...Nice Raider's Jacket Kris. haha!
After shopping a little on Saturday down in Seal on Main St. We headed home to get cozy and to catch the sunset across the street.....While there drawing in the sand...laughing and having fun..no wind..calm water..anticipating an amazing sunset...we kept saying "we better get back out and do some more shopping".....
On the way back...we both looked at eachother and said "Let's go get in the little boat...cruise the harbor and check out the lights, and enjoy dinner at Captain Jack's" Much better than fighting for parking spots...and standing in long lines....
With 6 blankets in the boat...we headed out. So fun...
For the last 10 years this boat passes in the parade. We finally found where he lives! The music they play while driving around sounds like Disneyland on water....

During our beach sunset fun....
Earlier in the day we walked the pier. Cute tree on Pier side.
Festive Seal.
My love. Also known as Santa.
I had some words with this bird. I would whistle. He would look. I would whistle he would look...until he ignored me...hahhaa
Talk about peaceful moments on the sand. You should try it. Bundle up. Head to the water...Believe it or not, during the winter, the beach and ocean become so serene. So peaceful. So away from all the hustle of everything...and everyone. And it's FREE!
Cheers to an awesome sunset...
May you all walk into this Christmas week remembering the most important gifts of all, are moments spent with those you love. Take each day one at a time...and remember....it's Christmas. Take time to enjoy good dinners. Good wine. Laughter with friends and family. The gifts are just things. Those go away. And sometimes people do too. Memories never do. Cheers everyone!
