The Patriotic Dock Weekend....

As I mentioned in my earlier post, our weekend was really peaceful- and filled with so much love.

It's funny as I look back at the pivotal shift our lives have gone through from years past.  From partying at the river, or some wild bike ride to gosh no-where..parties on the beach, or sitting in traffic to head to some party across town.-----
To sitting right here  For 3 days.
Because we are smart fellers, we started each day with 5 of these bad dudes.  Chilled ice water with lemon.

 Dr. Bedard on the loose.....
Finally meeting little Hailee our neighbor for the first time....Talk about a little shell of pure goodness. She is scrumptious!!! Its so easy to forget the long nights of nursing.  The blow out diapers, and the witching hour of crying.  You forget about the newborn jitters.  But one that you will always hold close to your heart is the smell and the delicate touch of a baby......The cuddles, and the coo's.  The sweet innocent organic smiles. The love that blossoms straight from their little souls.

Congrats Chris and Jenn- You better lock those doors in 15 years.

 Russ, Jodee and Alysson--

The simple plans, that of course, always turn out to be the best, coziest plans....
Raise your hand if you LOVE this picture of Jodee.....*hand in the air*
 The Stud Skipper

After showing this rad shot to Kris, I was schooled on just how shitty this boat really is.   Lots of controversy with this form of fishing...its best I just leave my opinion to myself.  Let's just say it's not the most humane way of doing things...and so....for the love of photography and my sincere deep love for the ocean, let's just admire it's mechanics.

Shake a leg dude, shake a leg....

Yes Bellissima, you are a stunner....that's for sure....

My fear of heights wouldn't allow me to stare too long at the freaks up on the mast.  There were kids up there!  WTF!

Our second gush of baby love was meeting Miss. Ava.  Our Beach Soccer Club baby.  Coach Eddie has a girl!  I asked...."So does your skill in the nurturing and coaching girls change just a tad bit now that you've had a girl?"  Oh ya, he replied....
I mean, seriously....THOSE CHEEKS!  Two cute babies in two days!
One of the smartest, kindest, and most beautiful girls we know.... Love you sweet pea --
 Dr. Savannah Sickler....
Congrats to TEAM USA!  Especially Alex Morgan #13

#13 given to Ava by Alex's family....talk about a sweet little hip hip hooray!  Eddie has always been my favorite coach. From his ethics, kindness and coaching technique...I miss our games, our travels.  I am lucky enough to have met his little sweet sugar and his wife...

Our weekend wrapped up just like it should.  With friends that are like family.  Babies, hugs, laughter...and cheers to another holiday on the dock.

Happy Hump Day my little friends...next big holiday try planning a staycation, and just chill.  And be sure to find any baby you can squeeze.  Add some lemon water, and vodka, a fishing pole, and your favorite chair.  Don't ever forget your favorite chair.

And next year?  You better be on that sand in Seal Beach so we can dannnnnnce the night awayyyyyy---
