Dear Summer.

Please don't leave.

Because you've been good to us.
It's easy to say the days have been nothing but long and warm.
And fun.  I mean, look at those Bombaaadierssss.....
And full of good food, and amazing wine, and or martinis.  no preferred order.
Celebrations have been welcomed.

Cleaning has never been so welcomed.
Boat rides were just a little sweeter.

Because when you live this life full of practices at baseball, soccer, work, and daily devotions...it's a busy one.

Showing something you've enjoyed with your family since a wee little one to your boyfriend.....

Is a sweet thing.

And when receiving lessons on "how to tie up" the boat....
It keeps things real.
Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you to the new Topock Bar and Grill.
It's a new place....with new servers, and new things....
Pool included-

Never to forget Topock's muddy water....

The weekends weather was just a little too perfect.
It's these last days of summer that count.
Right?
 RIGHT!

Because getting twirled around in circles...
And laughing hysterically....

And your boooyfrweend is trying to act serious.
But makes you laugh harder than I've seen in a long time.   Swoon.
 Warm summer nights....
Together at the lake....
With silly parents....

 And silly looks....

 IS what counts.
Mama's favorite time on the lake....dusk.   the. best.
Soon we'd wake up and do it all over again....
But not until we dined with these sweet fellers.   Would you just look at all those Sonic figures!  Oh sweet Mitchell.
Mimosa's on a Saturday, and too scared to open the bottle? that would be a big fat yes.
Back out to the lake where it called our names....
A lady commented to us as we approached the boat..."it's so nice to see a boy with no tattoo's"-  Yes, indeed lady, you are right.  But if you only knew....my boy. ha.

I know Dad.
Chapter Seventeen-

 She can dive!

This girl.

"Can I get a woop woop"!  (Classic face of Kali....hahaha)

It's been a great summer.  With these silly heads.
Summer, please don't go.
 no, seriously.
 We don't.
 Want you to leave.
Before we know it, those early mornings in the kitchen.  Breakfasts' and lunches will be sitting on the counter in front of us.  Laundry will include a few different new items.
The nights will fold early.  The smell of cinnamon will fill the air as we watch Halloween and Thanksgiving approach.

One of the many reasons I have my blog is the chance to peek back.  To look back on our summers in the past.
The many seasons that rock our worlds.  And it makes me smile inside.  Summertime always falls into my favorite.  It just does.

I am proud of my kids this summer.  They've managed to fit it all in.

Keeping in mind what's important.  And that is being together.

While staying real along the way.

"The only way to find true happiness, is to search for it"

Now go find it.  It's out there somewhere.....

boom.

ps. Why are kids going back to school in August?  Didn't it used to be AFTER Labor Day?

knick knack paddy-whack....give the dog a bone.

double boom.

Love,
Leese
