Finally CABO 2011.....Good times..

Well....it wasn't white sandy beaches in Hawaii but super duper close....The time came to celebrate in Cabo...and boy did the time fly....The funny part, I was so worried about so many things...one...traveling into Mexico, when you hear so many comments from others...the food, and WATER...But let me just say...That place is beautiful with beautiful gracious people. The resort we stayed at was everything they promised to be. The cleanliness, the service, and the hospitality are superb. Going to an all inclusive resort for my first travels was simply awesome! And so safe for Kali. Traveling with good friends made it even better...read on and you will see.....and I'm missing many pictures because of 3 cameras. But here you go for now.... Arriving at the airport at 7am. With the enjoyment of Burger King and Mark and Kyoko's fresh strawberries....lol- Me, Jordan and Kali.
The nerve relaxer. I actually thought these little plastic bottles were super cute...
An Island we passed over....Sea of Cortez side...
Getting closer to Cabo....
The beer factory is super close to the airport- Boy did we consume some brews...Chilada's as they call them....whew..
We arrive and start checking out the resort....Kali and Jordan out there..
First night of walking to dinner. When I blog, it's pretty creative simply because you have to sort backwards and post last first...so unfortunatly some are out of sync. sigh..
Kyoko is a trooper and gave into the pull up on stage....I love her!
And same with Miss. Kali....she got pulled out with one of the entertainers too- so funn! lol
Kali and Dad dancing-
Us at dinner before the big partying started-
And the buzzer got buzzed. lol! Bring it on!
Silly times ahead-
Kali and her first dance with a Cabo local...lol!
Duplicated pic- woops.
Savannah and Jordan...take the floor...bro and sis...so cute!
This is at check-in! Notice the guy hands ME the first beer. Ok.
The funnest and sweetest family you will meet-
Kali checking out her surroundings....her new domain for the next week-
We thought this was so cute...they hang a line in the shower for your suits. It's the little things...
Or maybe they don't want them hanging from their beautiful balconies...lol!
Amazing appetizers...
Mama and her little chick. First day on vacation...
Our first dinner together. Good times! Marco Polo Restaurant. Super yummy food.
We went into town the next afternoon...San Jose Del Cabo..for an Art and wine walk tour. The crazy part, is they were in the middle of a political rally. Federalies everywhere...Army dudes carrying rifles at every corner. At that point we decided on a nice appetizer in this super nice restaurant. We enjoyed Baked Brie and Roasted Garlic...and of course Margarita's....
The guy singing Eric Clapton. So beautiful..
Jordan the awesome little dude.
We came back into our room to find this. How cute huh?
Cabo sweethearts....2011

What's next on the agenda?! haha
This view is from the resort looking down towards Zippers. Surf spot.

Where'd my little toddler go?
Just about taller than me....almost 15.

Pretty big waves. The funny part to us, is we are at the beach at home alot. And the sand, water, water temp is pretty much the same. But it's cute to watch the other people from Canada, and the midwest, eastcoast enjoy it. And the waves were actually much bigger, and as my parents told me, the sounds are much stronger. That is very true. The roar and rumble all night. I kept trying to pursuade Kali to let us keep the window open, but she insisted on closing everything up....ugh
Lots of drinks in the pool....
Not bad cooling off and hanging under the Palapa's Being served all day by sweet waiters...
Kali playing volleyball...
Our room view....
Todd and Mark. Friends...maybe helping eachother learn to swim? lol!
Kyoko and Mark...more Cabo Sweethearts....
This resort offered the cutest entertainment all day. Workouts in the morning and adult and teenage stuff all day....here is the cocktail making contest.
And my Bill watching...
And my buddy in the contest.....
Kali playing volleyball with kids from all over. She made friends with boys from Indiana and Wisconsin. She was amazed they didn't know what a "rash guard" is. Cute. They aren't near oceans to get sand on them! lol
Our balcony

Lisa Marie. Our event planner for the week. Fun fun girl!
Mark and Todd...again...maybe discussing their swim lessons for the day...? lol
This pic got out of order. ugh!!!!! This goes along with our day trip to Lovers cove...Kali and Savannah preparing to snorkle.
Kali & Sav with their friends from the midwest...

Henna Tattoo's- More on that down the line.....
This is before....
This is Bill the next day. He is def' allergic to Henna. Both arms, jacked up. Thanks to friends, and neosporin and Aloe spray, and benadryl...he was able to sleep better the next few nights. This turned out terrible for him....

After a day at the pool and bar...Bill, Jordan and I snuck into the kids water park and YES, we let him get these mats out and slide down this slide. Well as you see..he was surfin down it. lol omg!
This is another funny story. Jordan decided he wanted braids. We all went along with it...with smiles of surety. But later at dinner, and walking around we continued to banter him with silliness. He took them out the next day..not because of us, but because they hurt so bad to sleep with them in.... sweet Jo.
So this is where the reservations start each morning. And again, thanks to our friends and their frequent travels and knowledge of how these resorts work...you must call for dinner reserv's at 9am each morning. And here they are....so sweet.
Lisa Marie and Todd. Sweet couple
The Sickler Family. Love them.
Kali walking to dinner....
Personal mariachi's at our table....all night....love it!!!!
Kyoko and Mark....notice we are hammered! lol!
and HE is HAMMERED- Darn Jose Cuervo stuff.....
The next day we arrive in downtown Cabo...for our boat ride to Lovers Beach and The Famous Arches...
Walking through the town....
Getting ready to board the boat...
Our boat- "Lero- Lero"
Uhhh Lifejackets....? yup!
The FAMOUS ARCHES! Every 6 years you can walk under the arches...for about 2 weeks. We were able to witness it...

This place was hot! 95 and the sand was cooking!
Snorkling was a bit blown out and choppy. Here they are coming back...

Scary rough water....

Of course had to cheers with a Pacifico!

Love Love Love

Note to my dark burnt back. Yes, I am peeling like a lizard now....
Boat ride over...Sav and Kali

I heard many good things about THE OFFICE in Cabo. We went, we ate, we drank we partied! Yummy food! And we made it during happy hour. 2 for 1 ! Woot Woot!
Mama by the Tequila racks...
Sitting in the sand...nice cool sand....under our feet....

Mark chartered a boat for the boys early the next morning...and look at these fish! Rooster fish is yummmmmy!
Look at Jordan's face...His catch.
They brought them back..Mark spoke with the Resort, asking if they'd prepare for next day's lunch...and here you go. Simply awesome. This stuff just lights me up. Especially for the kids. Served on a tray with lemon and tomatoes...super cute...
Bill and Kali headed to Zippers the next day, while Kyoko and I hung so surprisingly hung by the pool bar...and here's their afternoon....
He snaps just what I would. I love it!

She's trying!

Hmmmm. It's big and rough out there....
So the highlight of MY trip was a dinner I wanted at Sunset Mona Lisa. It was simply amazing. I really wanted a good Red wine and a nice peaceful dinner. And here it was....look at our seating...The Arches in the distance....70 degrees...and warm and sunny. No wind and surfers below-

Our appetizer-
Mama
Some good surf below....
Kali 15

I know Kali might not like this picture...but it's a picture worth a thousand words when she's 30....look at all that metal. Total teenager... I love this girl.
Bill's Sea Bass...
Kali's Angus.
My Cannoli stuffed with Crab
So pretty.
THAT's what I needed....
I love this place. And I will be back..
Leaving and waiting for our cab....
Got home with a much warmer night and the Gecko's were out....
Our last day at the resort we came down to the chef making homemade Paella- It was simply delish and the aroma? WOW! Note to others: We started doing shots and drinking again and had a shuttle pick up for 2:15pm. Let me just say...we rocked the shuttle again and rocked Cabo's airport! Woot Woot!!!!!!!
All loaded and ready....the kids were such troopers. The coped sooo well.-
The resort sends you off with your cocktail in a styrofoam cup....love it!
Whew what a vacation that was! I am counting the days for our next....
Ok...gathering my life with a laptop carrier and beginning to sort my journey planning for my little family to get back...sober-
Ok one last stop.
We had a blast.
And just like that.......it's a memory. A forever amazing memory.

Kristopher stayed behind...and it was hard to leave him here. When he was younger, I couldn't afford to travel to big destinations, now he's in school and covered my bases at the shop...But we are going back. That's for sure. I know he will be safe there too. Thank you Sicklers, Thank you Thomas' for the amazing journey you shared with us. CHEERS TO CABO 2011!!!!
