Handlebars...and coastal bars...Bike ride January 2011

Our friends Sean and Jaymee decided to join Bill and I on a super fun coastal bike ride....We started down PCH to Mother's Bar. Total biker beer bar...underwear, bra's and dollars fill the room for decor. Cold pitchers of beer, and at the end of the day? The lovely fragrant smell of bikers. We made this our first stop. Got a couple of songs on the juke box, and a pitcher of beer for fuel. And...WE'RE OFF......... As we made our trip through Bolsa, people watching, ocean viewing, we stopped here for a tinkle and a refill. And of course you know me...grabbed the first person I could to snap our shot.

OUR BIKER GANG...

Cheers to a fun long ride.....

This is the cliffs where my Dad would take Tina and I to surf when we were young. Brown bag filled with peanut butter and honey sandwiches in our hands, we'd slide all the way down those iceplants. This was before those sidewalks. I really think those cliffs were much bigger too. Or maybe it's because I was just so little....

Lovebirds....

The Buckeye....long story. Simple as that...

A little cold I'd say....

And the long journey home.......About 3 miles to be exact. Whew sobered up real quick!

Of course had to stop and say goodnight to the sun......

Dive bar on Main St. Huntington Beach. Perq's- Nothing like a cold Guinness before a long freezing ride home on bikes~!

Our last and final destination.... Taco Surf! Good band, more good friends met us there, and an amazing night!

Look at my little toasty Bill! Woot Woot!

Let the good times roll......

So we wake up Sunday morning...and decide to drive this time to our favorite spot. Bill, Kali and I normally ride bikes to our favorite little place called "Secret Spot"- Yummy food, organic little hole in the wall but packed every weekend morning...located down on PCH and Warner. The best Mango-Blueberry Pancakes, with veggie omelets (Kali's fav). Bill and I opted for the Dakine Quesadilla. Filled with Blackbeans, and organic cheese, avo, and salsas. yum yum! We also get a smoothy called Wally's Walnut. It's a banana smoothy with walnuts blended in. We ate and soon wanted to crawl right back into bed...yawn. Ooooo brewsky's how it hurts at this age. Yawn.

Another fun weekend, and the sun was shine shine shining............................!
