Celebrating this beautiful day, together. Peacefully.

On this day, we will celebrate the birth of one of my biggest accomplishments.

Her.

And it seems like yesterday

We celebrated the number three.

And day number two.  Born fast. Natural. Head full of hair. Nursed alot.  Cried alot.  Didn't sleep much.  Hated loud noises.  Loved to be held. Smiled at me soon enough.  Loved me back.  Loved soft music.  Still does. Loves passionately.  Lives modestly.  Is a true person.  Gives when she can.  Loves where needed.   Her name is Kali. (The American Indian Doll.  ha)

And we adore her.

We also celebrated with a house full.  Lots of pictures. I am taking my days one at a time right now.
I will load and share our weekend, just as soon as we finish celebrating the grand entrance to Chapter Seventeen.

Happy Birthday Beautiful girl Kali...

As this song was played at your Kindergarten Graduation, I will always dedicate it to you.

And to many more....

The big weekends.

For this place.
To catch this view

With this little feller.

Celebrating another year of her.

Because when you blink your eyes, they turn S.E.V.E.N.T.E.E.N - boom

And we will celebrate her life. Those fun moments with family and friends.  Whether in the lake, around the pool, or in the jacuzzi filled to the brim. We will add more pages to our journal.  Together.

Happy Memorial Weekend Munchkins.

Take the time to honor those lost.

With much love and peace to you,

Anchor Woman.

Lunar Myths

We all know how I feel about Full Moons right?

Oh, you don't?

Well...I.Don't.Like.Them.   At all.

There is something about their energy.  The tension that is stirred greatly by them.
This is solely my opinion.  But I feel very strongly about it.  To the tune of warning every loved one I reside with. Work with.  Talk with.  I share it.  Beware.   And if you are on shark week during this time.  Wow. Go into hiding. HA!  Kidding.
In my life I've seen crazy things happen, words spoken, actions taken...all under the presence of a full moon.
So they scare me.

The only thing to do, is be aware.  And be prepared.
As in....you see your friend taking shots of tequila, after having a bad day..and soon, she may want to fight everyone.  blahhhh haha.
No, but seriously, keeping it real.   These things happen.

It's a big weekend for us.  For everyone.
Just be aware.  Be kind.  And know that the mean spirited might let loose of all the pent up energy flowing inside.  Just be aware.

And remember to breathe through the rough moments.
 Grasping what it is.
And walking away from the moment.  If it gets rough.  It's not worth your time.  Or your input.  People rude?  Smile and walk away.  Plant the seed in your body for peace.

Although there isn't much scientific backing to this theory.  It's real kids. It's very real.

So now prepare for a great weekend.  Enjoy the sunshine.  Plant and water your flowers.

I will catch you silly goats next week.

Peace it outttt.

Live well,

I've got to go drop our ANCHOR.  boom.

Right about there.

Especially here.  Sunsets, how we've missed you.

This is my week.

Robot mode.

My name is Lisa, and I have a coffee problem.

Because I make coffee at home.  Sip and wake up to the world while watching the news....
And I stop here.  It's a terrible thing.  It's a habit of comfort.  It's greeting the same people. Each morning. My name on the cup, they know my liking (Grande Non Fat Latte 2 raw sugars deep).   To me, it's the little things.  To me, it's a nasty habit that could allow saving for many little things.

But for now....it gives me PEACE.  In my world, it just does.

The rest of my week is all about planning for Chapter 17.  It's creeping up fast.  This weekend of fun is creeping up way faster than I thought.
Love.

The best recipe is laughter

Happy Wednesday Kids.

Love,

Your OCD, Type A, Party Planner, on the go Mama.

Oklahoma, stay strong.

P.S.  My sis and I fostered a Ferret as young teens, and her name was "Shawnee".  She came from that small town. Funny how things come back around.

Crazy life.   Boy it sure can be.

It's only appropriate.

Nothing about me today.  Or my children.  Or my life.

My heart aches for the families.
The children.
The parents searching.
The destroyed homes.
The many delicate memories those homes kept.
The moments lost into the dark scary wild air.
And to think this big monster might return.

Most likely will.

Scary.

My hope is that some day their burdens lighten and their hearts find Peace.

We can certainly control our actions.  But we can never control Mother Earth.
May you all find some peace in your day.  Keep in mind how good this life is.

Mother Earth, please have Mercy on us.

Live well, and always try to show love first.

Rhonda Crosswhite, a teacher at Plaza Towers..
quoted -

"I was in a [bathroom] stall with some kids and it just started coming down, so I laid on top of them," the sixth-grade teacher at Plaza Towers Elementary in Moore, Okla., told Savannah Guthrie on Tuesday's Today show. "One of my little boys just kept saying, 'I love you, I love you, please don't die with me.' But we're okay. We made it out."

I love humanity in the purest form.

Moments that are well spent.

Our Saturday was all about soccer.

And Sunday was celebrating with F.A.M.I.L.Y.
Yum.

The core.

Swoon.

Roots.

In the cheering section.

Basketball to celebrate? Heck yes.  Family from Chicago? YES!

Uncle. Nephew.

Happy Birthday Dominic...Cheers to many more.

It was a great day.  It was one day with family that we cannot get back from any field.  We missed our team.  The day in sunshine, celebrating, laughing, and sharing stories are what keep this family of ours together.  And when you have a basketball court, pool, taco man, and a house and yard full of people? Yes.  The day was extra bright.  Thank you Janine and Dom.  You hosted a warm, fun and beautiful day for us.   Much needed I must add.  Have a great week everyone! Give it your best.  Or don't.  Just smile along the way.  Build a fort in the living room and hide. HA!

Be kind.  And be true.

Things.

Things I love..

Cool Spring mornings as the sun rises.
Freshly planted flowers.
Good hair days.
Unplanned gatherings that turn out better than expected.
Organic Strawberry Lemonade.
Watching animals play.
Especially this thriving kitten.
A clean car.
Receiving pictures like this on a Thursday night..Little Second Cousins.  Bliss.
It seems like yesterday, we passed her around the family room at our Grandmas.
I love the smell of coconut.
I love clean linens on my bed.
I LOVE a clean house.  NOTHING better.
I love the feeling of organization.
I love to watch Kali play soccer.
I love to see my kids happy.
I love my car dealership. They are so kind.

And so...classy, with a slice of vintage. Which I adore.
I love old punk rock.
Yes, you read that right.  Sublime with Rome will play.  Ink-N-Iron in June.  I think you should go.

I love my flip flops.
I love to water my lawn, along with the porch, barefoot.
I love Saturday mornings.
I love the smell of coffee brewing.
I love the color teal right now.
And orange.
I love birds.
And receiving sweet voice mails from my Mom.  My Mothers Day gift arrived.  4 days late.  She loved it all.

Things I do not like....

Rude people.
Manner-less people.
Litter bugs.
Cigarettes.
Spit on the ground.
Watching my daughter get a speeding ticket in front of our house while listening to the cop be a complete prick.
Receiving a street sweeping ticket in the mail that very same day.
And receiving another parking ticket for not having her pass in window at school 2 weeks later.
Lessons for teens can be expensive.  #yesshespayingforall.
Never thought I would say the word "court" with her title near it.
Gross. And a bummer.
It is in fact an example of how cozy we get the closer we get to home.  #pedaltothemetalnotgood.
I don't like shark week.
I don't like to feel frustrated.
I don't like to see my kids sad.
I don't like cologne. yuck.
I don't like lotion on before bed.
I don't like to swim in cold water.
I don't like to be scared.  I will hurt you.  Bad. With anything near by to throw at you. boom.

I don't like to see kids cry.
I don't like peas.
I don't like to see animals being mistreated.
I don't like to iron.
I don't like dirty baths or showers.
I don't like working. ha.

Anyway....HAPPY SATURDAY kids.
Hope you all have great fun plans.  We are headed to the soccer field.
Our wish is to win, because our loss is missing family gatherings, and moments with family that we can't get back.

Enjoy.  Have fun.  Get outside.  Water some flowers.
And call that one person you've been meaning to.
Or write that letter. It's worth it.

Later gators.

GO BEACH!

Slice of the 808 on this Friday.

It's crazy to look back and realize this life long dream of heading to Hawaii, has come and gone.....

A very clear simple example of how fast this life is.

One of the fanciest and most expensive restaurants on Maui. Mama's Fish House.  Pretty amazing and yummy if you ask us.

Although I have to admit, I loved the view just a tad more.

I mean, food is a great thing.  And so are good cocktails.....but give me an ocean, trees and scenery...

And my heart melts times ten.

This silly road that everyone spoke so highly of.  The Road to Hana...

I decided I was just too chicken to drive it.

Because I get motion sickness like a little kid in a bus.  Kind of like the look on my face.  I mean, wth.

We visited that street though.....we just didn't venture down it too far.
When people talk about Mai Tai's....Maui is the place.  This is Bill's.  I don't care for Mai Tai's.  Too sweet.  And not my thanng.  (Did you know I never once even tasted one while there? dork)

The night at the Luau was a sweet one though.

Even when I wore my lion hair do-  I mean, just look at that.  That's flat ironed hair misbehaving.

Tourist.

Lovers.

I kind of miss Hawaii.  I think it's the little simple places we visited that I miss. That amazing little deli.  Those little cabana's we'd tuck ourselves in.  Being silly, and just us.  Wiggling my feet and watching little lizards say hello. Not to mention that bad ass hotel we resided in.  That will forever hold a special place in my heart.
Happy Friday Fartknockers.

Hope you have a chill weekend.

Ours is FILLED WITH SOCCER.....

Stay safe, stay true.

Just have fun.

And be kind to animals, and elders.

P.S.  I will soon post some more on HI.  As in our helicopter ride....that was the shiz nizz.
