Endless Summer.....

This has been a long week...but a good one. Last night we spent the evening on the beach watching Kris and Chase surf. So peaceful on that pier. Just feeling the fresh ocean air...knowing that Friday was peeking at us too.....

My week started with this surprise card left for me, from my sweets. I love cards. I love what he writes to me. It really gives me a boost. In everything. Instant smile.

Hope they rock it like they did in February. They have lots and lots goin' on. Things are moving fast. Things are moving great. I decided to stay home. Happy at home. I'm not the big Vegas girl. Love my money, don't gamble and can't handle cigarette smoke. I know waaahh! hahaa!!!! I will get a teenage girl ready for back to school (CLOTHES...and more CLOTHES....)....cha-ching! And just the relaxing thought of working out (on my time)...staying in...doing nothing but tend to my flowers, my pets...and my home! Have fun everyone....enjoy doing just what YOU want...with those you LOVE. Stay safe. Peace.

Kris treated himself to this beautiful board.....His birthday gift to himself...Isn't it AWESOME?! It's a Dan Taylor Board....made from a local guy outta' Huntington Beach....but the everlasting touch? The awesome Jimmy Hendrix pad....ohhh what a touch! He gave his other Blue board to Kali....so so sweet. She is stoked! Our gift to him? He's having one heck of a huge party in Havasu next weekend. Oh oh oh boy.

Candlelit evenings with friends is my favorite part......Isn't that the truth....Good company...good wine...and candles? Yes.

Tonight we're heading back out to the water...I'm goin' to plant "my toes in the water...a** in the sand".....Surf's been up the last couple of days....He says just being in the water relaxes his soul. That's where he spent his 22nd Birthday. He took a vacation day...surfed in the morning with his sister...and surfed with friends till the sun set. To me? That sounds just perfect. Almost Friday everyone......

Twenty Two.....

I had Kris at 5:49am on a very early Thursday morning 22 years ago today. I went to the hospital prepared....I thought. I came home with a very tiny baby....and was scared.... ohhhh super scared. Everytime he'd start to wake up...or cry...I would wince...I would shreek with fear inside....I didn't have my mom...or my dad. I was in this adventure to handle what I told everybody that I could. I've tried my best...I've made mistakes, I've given all...worked hard for him....I know my kids have given me happiness at times when the world seems fierce. This little LEO has been tenacious, stubborn, and active his entire life. Now at 22, he has goals, he's figuring out life quickly. 22 and figuring it out. Life is a dance....we learn as we go.
I know I've posted this picture of Kris and I before...but I love it. I remember the smell of his little neck after swimming lessons, the lotion I'd slather him in....he was such a happy baby....

Here he is at 14 years old.

And 21 last year..... Happy Birthday Kris. Live your life. While I pray you stay safe....and healthy. Keeping good decisions, good choices a priority. Remembering LIFE is hard. But it's so good.

We headed over to the ocean on the way to dinner....Bill loved that London liked being held by him. He's not much of a baby guy....so this was really cute. She smiled and laughed with him. He wants us to tell her that her first wave visit was with Cousin Bill.....lol-

And just like that....our weekend came to a close.....so happy that Andrea came down to enjoy these moments together....as we've grown to be mama's...it's a whole different bond. Cheers! Sorry for my late posts'. I have been busy getting Kali ready for her season of sports, and school to start....and lots and lots of driving....! Lot's of driving.....I keep telling myself...these days are limited...enjoy each moment she hops in the car for the next practice...friends house...etc....-
