Kaitlyn on the far right is the ASB Rep for Freshman. They have a big roll in all activities at the school. She's running for Sophmore President (I'm sure she won..) and had to leave the festivities of getting ready together with everyone to go help set up, and prepare. I captured this shot of her with Brandi and Tristan as he arrived.....

THE BOYS......OMG the shorts were hysterical.....The headbands even more...! These handsome freshman will go a long way through the years....True gentlemen, and athletes too!

Ok now you are.....SO Beautiful......Where'd my little preschooler go? (Sighhh..)
Spandex, short shorts, neon and headbands...oh and big hair. Yup that's the 80's. And you might wonder about the short shorts? I pick my battles. These girls work hard academically, some are cheerleaders, the others athletes...Soccer, Lacrosse..and dance. And to me? Being a good girl, and keeping your values in check far exceeds the worry of dress. Enjoy these years girls...and as I always tell Kali..."Believe in yourself and to have very good reason to do so". I ask that she trust herself; it will make her a happier and more successful adult doing so....
You know I was grinning from cheek to cheek snapping away right? lol
You look at these pictures and wonder...what will they all become?
And Kali insisted that I not make a big deal about taking pictures, to maybe not come?! I showed up there with my friend Maria and said..."Kali I want to share these with all of you...so one day you can show your kids...and these memories that will fade into the years past..." -In really a blink of an eye....- Oh how the years are flying.....

Ok...one for mama.
As we seen them off to the dance...we had 3 hours to relax, eat, and sip on some good vino...and that's just what we did. A couple friends and I headed over to Spagatinni's Bar in Seal Beach...to enjoy a nice bottle of wine, appetizers and the best Salmon. Mine was covered in Artichokes and an olive paste...Simply amazing. Good live Jazz played, a good vibe and group of people...and we chilled until 10.
I stopped by El Pollo Loco and picked up a chicken burrito for Kali...as you know after a dance...and not really eating right before she'd be starving....that little surprise when she got in the car....was enough to make her smile all the way home. What a fun friday night that was.....
