Hey Fellers. Fellas.

Yes. I am alive.  And yes, I had a full beautiful weekend.  And yes, I have pictures.  I was a little under the radar weather..starting Friday night.  Of course I pulled through.  I WILL NEVER waste a weekend kids.  But I haven't snapped back fast enough to upload, proof and post.  I should get around to it tonight. It wasn't until my Aunt texted me.  "All good, you've been quiet...eh em blog".  ha.

I do want these.  (courtesty of Etsy)

For serious.

And I am here to remind you FELLERS, to shop here-

Oh those things....

The walk of shame.....
If they don't cheat on their spouses, they cheat their bodies.  Shame on you dude. Guess it's time for all of you people to retire those unitards and livestrong bracelets, whadya say? Class-less

And then you have athletes that are just plain nutty. #crazyliar
And then you have funny things your son sends you, that will get. you. every. time.  #welovetolaugh  - But let's just move along to things that make me happy.
Like these glass candle holders for K's room, when she's done with her little re-decorate.  umm 90% savings, yes please. And thank you. Glass sparkly beauties.  #thankyouverymuch

And while I set them up on my hutch I look at this.  These days.  Fast boats, and sunshine.  Yes, please.

I love to go fast. That's what he said, wha?
And then your friend Martha Stewart Cindy sends you this picture of our babies....

And this new little sign from Ross, for 4 bucks.  Yes, Life is Good.  We just need to look around and find happiness in our own little souls.  Do things that make US happy first.  Make Life Good for YOU.  Do it.  Eat well, and drink good wine. And smile on the outside.  A little?  Want a real treat? Buy new sheets.  Fuzzy warm new sheets.  Do it.  And tell me that isn't the best feeling ever.  Happy Saturday jokesters.  Go play.  Get out in that sunshine.  And keep on Livingstrong.  Or nevermind.  Bad idea.  My bad.  xoxo

The week in a nutshell. Exhale.

Monday is a blur.  Seriously, as I sit here reminiscing, it's a blur.
Tuesday's away game was everything I expected it to be.  Freezing cold night, but wow, what a sunset. Huntington Beach, cold night.  Evening game.  My friends. A win. Nice drive home with K.  Life was good-

Wednesday pasta party gave us this....(I got there late, some girls bailed..)

Thursday morning we awoke to a text from Gianni.  His cat "Hunter" was killed.  By a car.  The pain in his home is indescribable, unless you own a pet, and love animals.  And he was like "Hannah" to Kali.  So this is hard stuff. And I am sorry that your heart weeps.

And this morning while I prepped for another day of work, soccer games, and dinner prep, I make my rounds. Into my room I go, as always to turn the tv off, and say goodbye to this girl for the day.  My sweet "Abbie".  This sweet Abigail is almost 9.  She's the alpha of the house.  She rules them all.  But mostly melts my heart.  She loves food, and being loved on.  Just don't let that bowl of food go empty.  Or else.

It makes my heart weep extra hard for Gio, and the hard part of saying goodbye to "Hunter".   Animals love us when the world will turn their cheeks at us.

Happy Friday kids.  Are you ready for this weekend?  Are you ready for some sunshine?
Are you ready to make a new recipe?   I am.  Stay tuned.  Should be interesting.  To say the least.

Play hard.  Play fair.  Love yourself first.

Cheers to a better you, a better me, and a better we......xoxo

Now let me go find something to wear to this venue.  I will give you a hint-

"I was born this way".

And dancing will surely be involved.

Boom.

From this Mama Lisa.....

And because my playlist was rudely taken down from my blog....I have turned my world into Pandora (Jackson Browne station) along with Spotify.  Although I haven't ventured into paying for you folks to enjoy music along with reading...I am getting there.  Trust me.  Moving on....let's talk about this song.  This song plays along with one other (Forever Young by Rod Stewart-which I made my son sit and listen to the day he graduated) and every. single. time. it comes on....I think of my boy. My only son. And then there is this song below.. The only son that is so infatuated, if you will, with money, material, and at times, status. eh em tattoos.   I try hard to sink the simple values in this world to him.  I try to explain that living simple, and in love can be the best.  And last night, as he and I sat together eating dinner, this song came on.  And he said..."Mom, I really like this song...".  I said, have you listened to the words? He said, ya.  But really?   I hope he does.  Enjoy lover bugs.  Be kind.  Teach kindness and little things..  Be that example for them.  They need you.  They need us.  My greatest accomplishment is raising two birdies.  And the best job I can do is knowing they can take care of themselves someday.  Being kind and good along the way to others.  That is my biggest wish.  Happy Thirsty Thursday!  P.S. Thanks for jamming with me this week.  You all know how much I love music.  Live music? Watch out. no seriously.  Bring it.

Made with LOVE.

When your boyfriend tucks this goodness inside of their Bible and gives to Chapter 16 girl, to keep forever, you know he's made with Love.

When he presents your Mom with this on Winter Formal night AGAIN, you know he's made with Love.

When he picks you up on your 11th month anniversary and takes you to dinner, you know he's made with Love.

Because eleven months is a big thing during  Chapter 16.  He loves Miss. K.  He is a good boy.  Gio you make us proud. I am very sure you make your parents proud.  I am very sure you make your Mama proud.  She has raised a good boy.  These are the days.  And these moments make me believe that there is love in this world.  And if it starts with a few kids, and a few people, well, then I am sold on Love.  It does exist.   It just starts with us.  People wonder what is happening in our world with violence?  Well, hmm, why don't we step back just a little and look around.  In our home.  With our kids.  "Happy We All Need Love Wednesday".   And remember True Love Always.  Now go write a love note for someone.  Now.  K?  Tuck it somewhere.  xoxo.

I dedicate this song to you my friends...

There are songs that melt me.  And there are songs that sit deep inside of my little soul while they play.  You know those kind that will stop you in your tracks, and bring you to tears.  Those songs.  This song.  It gets me everytime.  Enjoy it my friends....and think of those with us, and those that have left us.  It is good.  Life is good.  Happy Tuesday.  Love you all.  Especially my home-girls that keep me standing when I feel the Earth pushing me over. xoxo.  Leese

For you, there will be no more crying,
For you, the sun will be shining,
And I feel that when I'm with you,
Its alright, I know its right

To you, Ill give the world
To you, Ill never be cold
cause I feel that when Im with you,
Its alright, I know its right.

And the songbirds are singing,
Like they know the score,
And I love you, I love you, I love you,
Like never before.

And I wish you all the love in the world,
But most of all, I wish it from myself.

And the songbirds keep singing,
Like they know the score,
And I love you, I love you, I love you,
Like never before, like never before.

Mom, it's crazy how you prepare so much for such a quick night....

And the night falls upon them.  Like sunshine that rises in the morning...The prep, the places, the purchases, the stores, the sizes, and all of the little things...just like that.. Those shoes she had to have were placed right by the front door this morning....resting from that quick fun night.  That night that was full of laughter, friendships, dancing, and memories.  Winter Formal. Round two. Junior year.   Thank you God for keeping them safe.  Thank you Gio and Kali for always making good choices.  You make me proud.
7am practice the morning of. No biggy.  She arrived to an icy field at 6:45am.

Gianni's sister...helping with the cute stuff..

Maddie crowned "Princess" last night...so happy for you girl.  You are beautiful inside and out.  That's for sure...

Love

Best Friends

And I'm not the only stalkarazzi.  Shell, I told you this was cute....

My Mama Maria.  And the coordinator.  Yes, you officially rock.  You know that though.

Swoon.

B, where'd our baby go?

Gio's fam bam.  Minus Daddy-o

So the group this year was 25 couples.  Yes, that meant cramming this group in pictures....

The temperature on the ocean was forty something degrees. You can imagine the chill factor with wind.  Clear air, and ocean.  Made for pretty pictures though...mixed in with white and purple skin. ha

Yes, my friend Shelly officially rocks too.  She made 100 little cupcakes.  All hand decorated.

How bout' those snappin skills.  #mybad.
K was beyond stoked enjoying the dinner in another house she calls home.

Dutton family, and especially you C.  Also known as Martha Stewart.  She amazes me.  Every season. Every year.

The Dad's were busy keeping warm by the fire.

Seriously Shell?!

The party limo bus arrived....

Can I get a wowza?  Lucky little fellers cruising to the dance in style.

I told them I will have a slide show for Mac's wedding someday.  Just someday...you wait....

Yes, trying to cram all of these sweet peas onto a bus is a little more complicated then it seems....this includes signatures, nice good talks...answering all the little questions...probing the bus driver.  #lisayouworrywart.

Well, Anthony did a good job making things straight though....

And the dude had good music.....

And yes, they were freezing....

And yes they successfully signed, got in...and didn't roll their eyes at me, even once.

Because Kali is so over trying to push me on out...haha.

And we are so lucky for these little ones.  They give us more memories. More smiles. More moments to cherish.  And they make us proud.  They work hard.  They give where they can.  They respect us and our wishes.  And yes, by 1am she walked in the door.  And this mean mom, wasn't such the mean mom.  As a matter of fact, her words this morning were full of "Thank you's".....and "Mom, I can't believe how much we do through the days and weeks before and the day flies by"...oh.  Trust me baby, I know.  And more than just dances, I know...
This morning B tried his romantic bike ride offer again.  Yes at 7 am.  I sat quiet.  Almost a giggle. Almost a complete laugh.  There is a frost warning. Yes, at the beach!  Eh em, bike ride gangsta?  Bike ride?!  Hell to the no, but I do thank you for this amazing coffee, and the amazing fire....oh, and more amazing coffee.

Mark and Jo decided to try ice fishing, at our igloo, and guess. who. always. tangles. his. line?  Chapter 13 boy.  Fly fishing.  #cantkeephislineinthewater.   Boom.

We did get our last bit of entertainment for the day....Yes, you are welcome seagulls. I bet that half a' fish was yummy.

Lucky Fellers.

And our weekend was a success.  Because of you G.  Because of your Mom and Dad. And because of your sister.  You make our girl happy, you make us twice as much.  love you kid.

Even when your girl take close ups on the dock today after you said no.  That's not very nice, now is it?  We can get her back little one, don't worry about that.  Chapter seventeen boy.
And here my friends, is your friend. Mama Leese.  Tired. No makeup.  Post Costco trip.  Pre-cook for my week style, right there.  Did I say I am a tired mama?  Oh, I'm sure all of you other mama's know.  This is life.  I am ready.  Monday's suck.  But thank god it's there. Thank goodness I am able.  And thank goodness for all that I have.  you kids ready to rock this week?  No?  Wanna ditch work and school and build a fort?  The entire living room?  While we wait for our pictures to be developed?  I think mine might be done by Friday.  kidding. See? We are lucky little burritos aren't we?  Boom
Now go get ready to work hard.  And prove you can.  Eat good.  Pack a good lunch.  And always smile on the way.  Wanna cry?  Sunday night cry?  Me too.  Wahhhhhhhh

xoxo.

Peace out chicken heads.
