Two Months

In exactly two months I will be embarking a plane.  We will fly away to this place.
And it will be those moments of appreciating the chance.  The chance to lay by a pool in my clothes.
Or dress.  Or whatever.
ha.
This stuff cracks me up. Although I am a hopeless romantic, who in the heck lays down like this, dress all wet?  oh man, I needed a good laugh today..sorry, not sorry.
Or I can really freak Bill you out and pretend this is me.  Syyyyke.  sorry, not sorry

Wait, this is more like it.
And this.
I really can't wait.  Although I know I will miss my little fam bam here.  I really can't wait to explore. I want to see all things peaceful. All things comfort, and warm.  I want a good seat, by the ocean. Drink in hand.  Laughter filling my soul.  I can't wait.  I have waited my entire 30 years of life to visit this place.

This is the big day.

You better get on it.  Love that is.  Or your lover. Whichever works out best.

Happy Valentines Day Little Cupids.

If you are lucky enough to have a Mom still here on this land of ours, let her know just how special she is today too.

Robot Mode.

I have those days.  When I wake up.  I walk directly into the kitchen, grab my same ol' mug.  Same ol' little spoon.  Same ol' sugar dish, while opening the fridge to grab my milk.  Pouring my cup o' joe, and soon begin to whip up the princess' breakfast.  She actually isn't a princess. She can be quite the B word some days if you ask me.  She can be.  This morning was no different.  I make.  I prepare. I smile.  I offer.  And it's that same ol' dry answer.  The bleh attitude she carries.  I know it's Chapter 16, soon, very soon, Seventeen.  These days I feel like this....
And as much as I know it's these days that her age offers less talk.  More selfish time for her.  Flat irons, and clothes strewn throughout her room, with accessories laid out on her dresser.  This too shall pass.  Like what is she thinking?  What's on her mind?  Why the attitude? I did listen to her brother set her straight this morning.  He pretty much said everything I wanted to say...and eh em...more, and deep in my roots I was like.."get her Bub". haha.  But they told eachother off, calmly and yet very pinpoint.  I continued to slather makeup on my wrinkle free face. ha.  Smiling on the inside and at times the outside.   Yes a perfect home, DOES NOT exist.  trust me fellers.  And these little household tizzys don't really even matter.  Do they?

I watched on the news as a casket of one of the fallen officers was being moved out of a funeral home to begin the long venture down the streets being saluted by fellow officers, and respectful public citizens.  The part that brought the very makeup I just applied, off of my eyes?  His wife. His Mom. His kids.  Weeping.  There. Barely able to walk.  Stand or cope.  All because another lunatic went nuts, in society.  Trying to prove a point.
The job of an officer isn't safe.  It's quite brutal and very scary.  And when I hear people make comments about "cops" and how crooked it can be.  Everything is crooked.  Everything. Religion.  People.  Churches.  Jails.  Hospitals. Everything. It's how we deal with it.  But you better believe when you dial 911, and those "cops" pull up to help, you might have a different perspective.  My heart weeps for the families during the next months and years.  There will be many awful sleepless horrific days and nights.  And for that, I am truly sorry.

For now I will watch a teenager that thinks her actions aren't being watched.  I am. We are.  I get it.
I know these days will pass. No I won't clean her room. Yes I will still smile and pack her lunch, and make breakfast.  No, I won't tolerate rude actions, as I do stand my ground.  Both K & K know this Mom.  And wowza don't push that button too far in.  I will continually be a robot. In life.  At work. At home. In love. I am.

Some days I am tired.  Some days I am not.

Let's just call me a robot for now.  K?

K.

Robot Mom.

How are you guys? Robots?  Jumping up for joy around your house?  Life perfect?  Close?
Well you are a lucky feller you lucky feller.  boom.

Oh. Hi

I wrote a controversial post.  Don't think I should post.  So I will digest it a little. It's not a big deal, it just might  flare up a "wtf" flame under someone I love.  so.... I better toss this one around in my noggin a while.
For now....I leave you with a few things I love, and want to do again. Soon. Because I yearn for summer just about now.  Enough of the layers, bring on the sunshine and flip flops.

We all know I love these fast fellers....the faster and louder, the better.

but I don't like sea boogers. #idontgetit

summertime hugs are the best...  #whenitsnottoohot

i do not like full moons.  never have, never will.  pinkie promise.

i love these birdies

i love helicopter rides.. vroom.

i love soccer, but i must sit on fresh grass on that field.  pretty please

I'm having a severe case of missing Havasu and our lovely view.  Preferably this spot with a Margarita in my hand, wiggling my big feet and long toes....  Thank you very much.
 Happy Tuesday Kids.

Keep it real, and try to smile while you do.
Do not litter.  Ever.  Never.  Ever.  Not even little wrappers.  Promise?

Litterbugs suck.

Serving others.

The weekend flew by.  It was one of those weekends to batten down the hatches, and do things for LOVE.
It was all about others, versus me.  Bill's parents have both been challenged with ailing situations.  You know the situations that parents find themselves in.  Bodies that begin to fight back. One is eighty five, the other following behind, (but she doesn't like to talk about those numbas)  Pages have been unfolding with their bodies.  Hospital stays.  Urgent care.  This stuff happens more frequent lately.  They return home with strict orders to "take this" and "don't forget that", "eat this, and don't eat that"....  And the most important...have someone around to keep you safe.  Something I never really think about until I sit still and really "think about", with having parents so far away.  They need us when they get older.  They need daughters and sons to stop by and check on them.  They need breakfasts, lunches and dinners planned FOR them.  They need reminders that we really don't even fathom right now while we are still young.  And so....this weekend, it wasn't about "us", or "me". It wasn't about what fancy restaurant we'd dabble into.  It was about serving family.
Roots.

All he wants is a good Martini, some salty peanuts and a good "Cowboy" movie on.

I cooked a huge meal, and made Gaylord's favorite salsa.  We doted over them.  We gave to those who have given so much.  They are incredible parents that have raised and taught strong ethics.  Kids that are sharing house visits.  Cleaning,. Dr. Appts, more meals, and more doctor appts.   You really don't understand the magnitude of this responsibility until it lands on your door step.  Everyone is busy.  Including all of their children. But somehow, someway, they work through and with eachother.  Covering all meals, and daily help.  Trust me, it's not as easy as it sounds.  Love comes from the roots of the tree. And I am seeing it.   So if I can cook a big meal, clean up and help, you betcha I will put my hands in that chapter.  I also managed to work around my house.  Prepare my meals for the week.  Plant flowers, finish laundry (which meant further then just the dryer...) Clean out drawers, wash all the bedding, and take Chapter 16 shopping..yes, it was a busy weekend, but it was one I will be proud of. Because I remain able.

Happy Monday Little Worker Bees.

It's beautiful out.  That's for dang sure.

Be good.

It's these days of High School and SOCCER.....

Our ladies took home Sunset League Championship on Thursday night.  It was all I expected, and more.  When I arrived at the field,  I said my little prayer in the car.  I listened to my favorite songs along the way...I pray to keep our girls safe, along with fair Ref's and respectful opponents.  I always walk to the field with this amazing feeling.  I love to watch them play.  I love soccer. I love these days.  These days are far more than these girls and coaches even know.  These are the days....

When they meet, they set themselves up for a bond.

And this bond includes things like holding hands during the opening process at the biggest game of the season. Connecting the ties.

And when Coach stands in the middle of this bond....it all matters.

It says, "everything is gonna be alright".....because positive words move mountains..

You wake up those compliments, and you thrive. You seek to meet the expectations that are set out there....to prove things right for Coach and your team and the families that hold things all together.
you build a confidence unlike any other....(-cute part of this picture? Coach Steve's Dad is always present at the games....you will see him tucked in a corner, just watching...and I watched this father/son connection many times during the game...and to me, it's the little sweet things like this.  You.  Your Dad. This big game.  These are the days...no matter how old you are...and no matter who you are.)
with minutes left of the biggest game of the year.  score is 3-0 vs. Newport Harbor
our girls begin to stand...and the crowd goes nuts....(yes that's our little Gio's head...whom came out to support his girl...)
the Varsity boys come to support.  swoon.
 Baseball boy.  ha

the minute left is the biggest moment of this season...

and the rush to goalie Savannahhhhhhhhh

boom.
Sunset League winning tunnel, sponsored by Varsity Boys....ha.

Just like that.....

Sunset League Champions 2013

One of the first persons I texted, was my cousin Mindi.  She played club soccer and all through high school, soon landing at UCSB.  Her response was "those were some of the best days of my life". So now starts the short path to CIF.  It's like anything else.  Prep. Do. Work. Figure. Accomplish.  Have a great weekend everyone. What do you want from it?  Peace?  Workout?  Rest? Strong coffee?  A good glass of wine?  Wonderful dinner?  Well, go do it.  You deserve it. Fix yourself up a little, put on your favorite outfit, or coziest stuff and do it. Because, I said so. ha.  And remember to drive slow and careful, keeping your patience hat on while you steer behind someone learning, or the elderly.   And always, always, be kind to animals. They do count.  Trust me.
Happy Weekend Lova's.  i hope it's filled with love.

My latest edition of Wow's and Woah's.

Do you guys have "Things" that make you scratch your head with "Woahs",  while others make you go, "Wow? No?  Well, I certainly do. And most things make me ponder beyond ponder.
Like this dude.  I. Don't. Know. Why, but he bugs the holy-bajeezers out of me.  I think this might be like the 4th time I've HAD to see him in underwear.  Seriously, like why Mario, why?
His poor chick.  Or maybe not. Maybe she's into underwear and a dude that lays in a tanning bed on a daily.
