Do you have many?

We all know how much I adore pictures.  I love taking them, looking at them, displaying them.  And looking at them some more. I am that girl that will walk into houses and look directly at, and for pictures. I love to see all things full of happiness and love.  My kids are overwhelmed with pictures at times.  They have photo books, pictures framed, and some stuck to the fridge, not to mention on their desks.  I take alot.  I share alot.

The other day I called my Dad (whom is doing very well, and all healed) and asked him for pictures.  Of me.  And them.  I actually asked him to take my Mom into town, and scan away. I want em all.
He kind of chuckled and said..."well which ones Leese".  Dad, I seriously have like 4 here. I want them all.
I want the ones of you and Mom standing by the pier at the beach with hip-huggers, and long hair.
I want the ones of us at Disneyland, and especially the ones when that motorhome would show up in front of our house in Southern California and we'd all get in and take a family photo.
Or the little pony that would make his way, lawn to lawn, door to door.
I want all of them.  Oh you know Dad, all of them.  please. and thanks.
Oh those simple days of dresses tied up on your little shoulders....

I was a seventy's baby.  And boy the memories I have with partying parents.  Let's just say..."wow". It did give me a huge appreciation for music and kindness.  And all creatures big and small. That's for certain.

This is one of my 4 pictures....seriously.  So...stay tuned, hoping in the next few weeks I am blessed with some history of this girl.  That chubby one on the left.  My parents will soon celebrate 45 years of marriage.
So with those pictures, I made very sure he'd include any and all of their wedding..younger years.
Bring it Mom and Dad.  Bring it.

Life is fast.
Thanks for taking this journey with me.
I can't wait to see what the future holds for me and these pictures.
Get to scanning Mom and Dad.

Happy Take lots of pictures Thursday.

boom.

Why do you refer to me as B?

Last Saturday B...also known as Bill.  Billy.  Hun.  Dude.  Hey.  asked me, "Why do you refer to me as B on your blog"-  For one, I was little surprised that he actually does read.  And for two, was offended, just a bit.  I explained that sometimes using his name with a B, just seemed more private...etc.  However, he isn't digging it. So.....here's to you Bill.  B.I.L.L.  Loverface. BILLY-O. G-Unit. Dad.  boom.

During this topic, as we sat at the kitchen table looking out at the ocean, with seagulls passing over us, while sipping a Margarita..I proceeded to interview him, if you will.
I'd say a word, he'd give me his one, or two word response.

What's your thought about......

ME:  Beautiful (as he and I roll our eyes, and laugh out loud..)
YOUR STYLE: All American
BLOGGING:  Diary
MUSIC: Classic Rock
FOOD:  Pizza
DRINK: Margarita's (he takes another sip)
DESSERT: Chocolate
WORK:  24-7 (ain't that the truth...)
MONEY:  Greed/War ....(wait, what? War?  what the-)
BAND: Bad Company
DO YOU LIKE COUNTRY MUSIC:  Sometimes
ANIMALS?  Yes

COOKING: I want to learn more
AGE: Sucks!
PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE:  What does that mean?  (I'm like..I don't know..nevermind.)
INSTAGRAM:   Games
WORKING OUT:  Love it
VACATIONS: Hawaii!

This silly one word little interview sparked quite the silly laughs and discussions.
BILL and I tend to crack eachother up.  And it's the time alone without anyone around that we seem
to be ourselves and let our guards down.  He's a worker Bee that's for sure.  He is also a pretty quiet person, so when he talks, and isn't bogged down as a grumpy worker...and let's the words flow....I take complete advantage of the moment.....

And we all know I won't call him B anymore. A little offended, eh?

And there my friends, is Bill.

How's that Bill?

It all went something like this....

We were lucky to catch Jordan's Lacrosse game.  You do remember him, right? The young feller that. always. gets. his. line. tangled.   That boy.  Chapter 13.  Lacrosse.  Intense little game, I'd say...

And yes, they spanked em.  Good job Jo.

And after shopping in  5 stores and planning my meal for Super Bowl Sunday...we headed over to The Turks.

And when you head to The Turks, you leave with a "Good Times Ahead" banner waving in the air.  It's just what happens.  And yes,  I tore up that dance floor. And yes, I sang along to every single song that played.  It was one of those nights.  Our original six pack.  And "Party Jones".  Great band kids, great band.

And I, of course couldn't let him leave without a picture... #stalker

So, the Turk Lovers and us went to Turks Tavern.  And danced some more...

Our latest party recruits.  They have 2 kids off in college, and one on the way....I'd say it's time to let loose, whatya say?

And so we did.

And BILL someone said, "Let's go check the huge surf!"  and so we did that too.  Yes, I was in heels, and yes we tore up from the floor up when we left the sand, but those memories will always make our friend foundation  just a little bit stronger.

Plus I woke up to this fine fellers cooking.  He makes THE BEST pancakes and eggs.

It's all about presentation Mama says....So sweet Bill.
As we planned our dinner time, and football game watching, we snuck in a sunshine cruise...

As we all smiled, and yawned, and yawned some more at eachother. ha.

I cooked a big meal, Carmen brought this handsome devil.  We sat around, lazy, hazy and full.
And although WE were wiped out, someone else surly wasn't.  I still can't get over this feller.  I mean, seriously, what the heck?  GO BIG or go home.  yikes. #Eddiemunstersbrother
My favorite commercial.  And so much our six pack.  This is great.  Happy Tuesday kids.  Did the groggies leave your head?  Feeling sharp and ready to take on the week?  I surely have a full one, filled with 2 soccer games, one home, one in Newport, Dr's. Appt., Pasta parties, and meetings, it's all happening in like 3 days worth.....but just like that, Friday will be here again.  I hear we are expecting rain.  And you know what? I'm kind of happy.  Time to get more things organized, and spend some time in.  You know where we spend our summer months.  On the lake and on the beach or dock. Time to get some cupboards cleaned out.  Go get after it people.  peace out chicken heads.

Raise your hand if you're tired.

In case your wondering where your friend Lisa went, I'm here.  At my desk.  Like a robot.  Super tired.

And the highlight of my weekend did involve watching a good band. After a good workout in the morning, catching some of Jordan's Lacrosse game,  and shopping around town with Bill...(yes, we shopped at Trader Joes, Ikea, Kohls, Home Goods, and grocery store..-ha) we were persuaded by our 6 pack plus 2 to walk over to Taco Surf and sing with "Party Jones".  Great band.  I may, or may not have danced like all. night. long.  THAT, was a good time.  Sunday consisted of cooking.  A nice Mexican meal for our friends.  We took a boat ride, and smiled at each other with red eyes.  All of us. Yawns, and red tired eyes.  At least we all suffered together. ha.  I have pictures, of course sillies.  The football game was everything I expected it to be, just less VW commercials than I thought. But my favorite? That one for Doritos with the old folks. omg. good stuff.  The best part is watching the winning teams and grown men cry.  Hard work, winning, and accomplishments displayed....I loved it.  I am a groggy head today, and will keep on, keeping on.  Stay tuned, I should be able to get my bloggaschmog world together soon.  Just need a little more time to get these fuzzies out of my face.  boom.  Where's my pillow?
Keep on Keeping On.
We can do this.

There is a bond like no other....I see it.

Our home game on Thursday was "Senior Day"...which means a few things.
It means-
  • Saying Thank You to the girls you've shed blood, sweat and tears with, and for...
  • It meant showing them true friendships are formed just from this...
  • It means wishing them a "Job Well Done"
  • It means looking at them with "Farewell, and Good Luck in College"
  • It means that soccer isn't just the game, but the bond that is formed.
  • It means growing together and celebrating on this day...
It means that someday, just someday they will look back with many good memories...or at least we hope.
Senior girls, you make us proud....

This is how we do it.....

Eleven Seniors this year...(my craft bins put to very good use...)

Still in first place. Yes, that's right.

And these girls are very proud of our Seniors....

So is Coach Steve...

They look at eachother.  Under-Classmen, admiring the upper.

This girl.

And many are venturing in way different directions.  From Boulder, to Boston, North Carolina....

They are moving mountains.

So watch out....

Because they will move mountains....(Is this not the cutest picture of Megan giving kind words to Maddie...swoon. melt me)

I know for sure.

Because this sisterhood will launch them....

Silly and all.  They will move mountains...

Our Croatian Princess....

And it's these days.....

Do they really even know....how much these days mean?
They all make me proud.  It's been a great season working for and with them.  That I know for sure. And when people said to me "Leese, you should see the bond by seasons-end".  I would have never thought it would be this deep.  This pure.  Grass.  Soccer.  Fields.  Practices.  Injuries.  Tears.  Smiles. Laughter.  Sillies.  And lots of hugs.  They are moving mountains.

Happy Saturday Seniors....2 more games to take Sunset League First place!
We CAN DO THIS...Can I get a woop woop?  holla.

Eat well, and start planning for Valentines Day....
You have been warned.
xoxo

And please join me in a CHEER, because we HAVE MUSIC AGAIN! *clink

From the girl that doesn't understand football.

I look at the Superbowl maybe a little different than most. Maybe I don't. Maybe some of you are with me.
Or the ones that will read this and freak out because seriously, I. Don't. Understand.  Football. As in the rules, plays, etc.   Go ahead, clinch your heart, and sit back down....I just don't. Although I've been to many parties, restaurants, and bars that are holding quite the party.  I come for the party. I come for the food. I love more then anything to see people having a good time.  And if that means that dude jumping in the air because "his" team is kicking ass, well, then I'm right there jumping up with him.

One of my greatest pleasures in this world is to see others happy.

And so, Superbowl 2013, I welcome you with open arms....because I know many people that are super super excited.  One ol' friend had a dog named "Niner". RIP "Niner", you were a handsome feller. I thought of them immediately when they won.
And what better place to celebrate and contribute to a town in such need of LOVE, revenue and happiness.  Good for you New Orleans....

And while the guys/girls jump around cheering on their team, I plan to graze the food area.  As always.

And I end up with a tummy ache.  Every year.  I don't eat a whole lot of bad foods, and when I do, oh do I pay.  #SUPERBOWL you are worth it.

A great picture, and quite beautiful if you ask me, but wouldn't most people like me, flip if they walked into a Superbowl party with this? HA -Those blueberries could be tossed in with some champagne, right?

My excitement?  This will be a major commercial name.  And yes, I'm a V-dubbha girl.  Farfromgroovin.

I am a little bias to this team.  Because it's from our Cali roots, baby..
And when they win, I certainly hope to see those Niners Fans jump in the air.  As I wrote earlier, when I see anyone happy over anything, it melts me.  It just does.  Happiness, and cheering on anything you feel strong about is what life is there for. It's enjoying those moments.  While I continue to graze at the food table.

So whoever takes it this year, may their families beam with pride. May their children be old enough to see those big moments that their Dad accomplished.  Enjoy yourselves little bumble bees.  B and I plan to get out and enjoy some sunshine.  Bike rides, and brews.  Don't drink and drive people.  I was behind an SUV the other day on the way to Kali's game, and posted on 2 huge stickers were a beautiful girl. One of her 17 year old face, and the other in cap and gown at 18.  Underneath it read:  A drunk driver killed my daughter.   It's not worth what a 20. cab drive can do for you.  Drink water in between your cocktails and brews.  You will thank yourself on Monday morning when the alarm rings(Speaking of which, why isn't it Superbowl Saturday, like seriously).  Have fun loverbeans.  Go play!  Get out of the house and into the sunshine.  Take a walk.  Smile along the way.  Or cry.  Whichever feels better.  Because only YOU know.  Cheers to The Niners!
Love,
The girl that loves wings, and brews.  Preferably  together.
boom.
