Follow The Sun.

Soaking up the days of summer as we watch the sun fall a little earlier each day.

Gathering with friends on the dock.

Loving a friend and wiping away tears from sadness as she watches a loved one prepare to leave this beautiful Earth from a brain tumor.

The shit ball diagnosis of Cancer.

Top on more pandemic fears and confusion and life just gets troubling hard at times.

Welcome August though, am I right?

My sisters birthday month.  My cousins birthday month.  MY SONS 32nd Birthday this month.

Grateful.

The past week offered us bike rides, laughter, too much wine, sunsets with the six-pack, more laughter and tears listening to music on the dock.

Mama's lunches have become my speciality.  As my sister calls me, UBER Eats mom.  Nothing better than a good ol' organic salad prepared by mama.  Dropped at your home desk.  I've learned to make my own dressing, which just adds to my mama heart.

Can't wait to get back and hug my other birdie soon....

Friday's windiest bike ride. Cliffs of HB.  Lots of memories there as a little girl.  Sliding down ice plants. Before bike paths, dog beach and picnic tables.  We'd have a sack lunch in hand, Laura Scudder peanut butter and jelly sandwich, chips and a drink to watch our dad.  It's those happy memories I try to remind my dad when he's extra hard on himself.  A reminder to me, that he didn't have a manual to parenting.  Much less a good role model.

Trying to set the timer.  Several attempts. Wild wind.  And lots of patience for me. Bill is relentless when in pursuit to make something work.

I bought the Ezequiel wraps from Trader Joes.  Note to you all. Don't. Do.  It.  Like eating cardboard. Thinly sliced cardboard.  A paper-towel, if you will.  LOL-  The insides were delish as I added enough of our  turkey, greens, veggies and sauces etc.  But the wrap? No Bueno.  All the sides made up for the wrap fail-

Long Beach Yacht Club for Wet Wednesday- What you can't see is a band playing in the back right side corner.  The problem?  Us ol' gals couldn't find a seat because they WERE ALL OCCUPIED BY KIDS!  grrrrowl.  Never in my life did I think that would come out of my mouth.  HAHAHA!
We still had a great seat, and the sunset was kick ass over the top.  So that made up for those screaming wet brats.  just kidding.

Two of our six-pack had us over on Saturday to enjoy dinner, a sunset and good wine.

I am getting my hair done tonight.....so you know when the slick bun comes out, le grey's are having a part party up on top.  Those fellers are relentless.....

Twas a beautiful night, that's for sure....

Sunday I took off for a long walk along the shoreline of Bolsa.  The perk to this morning was the many families unpacking their day for the beach.  The smiles on everyones faces.  A place I take for granted some mornings.  I had music playing in my ears, and a few times I teared up, watching humans.  Smiling.  Laughing.  Hugging.  Touching the salt water with such happiness.

It was a sweet walk.

I send you off with love.  With peace.  And mostly with good health.

Stay in touch with those you love.  Those that add goodness to your life.

Let go of the rest.

Much love,

This Mama Lisa

Follow The Sun

Follow the Sun

Follow, follow the sun
And which way the wind blows
When this day is done
Breath, breath in the air
Set your intentions
Dream with care
Tomorrow is a new day for everyone
A brand new moon, brand new sun
So follow, follow the sun
The direction of the birds
The direction of love
Breath, breath in the air
Cherish this moment
Cherish this breath
Tomorrow is a new day for everyone
Brand new moon, brand new sun
When you feel love coming down on you
Like a heavy wave
When you feel this crazy society
Headin' to the strand
Take a straw to the nearest waters
And remember your place
Many moons have risen and fallen long, long before you've came
So which way is the wind blowin'
And what does your heart say?
So follow, follow the sun
And which way the wind blows
When this day is done...
