A dose of sunshine.

It was time to get away.
You know those weekends you hear people speak of, to recharge?
Ya.  One of those.
Yes, there was work to be worked on.
But there was more to it.
Like time to exhale and just get away for something they call, a little bit of time.
For us.

And it looked like this.
And like this.

Some sunshine together.  Quiet solitude sitting shotgun to one another.
And it was lovely.  Because we sat with old friends.  And met new ones.
Those texting invites finally came to fruition.
Say hello to Jeff, Robin, Steve and Nicole!
Say hello to my little friend too.
They are given a bad name.  But beauty is written all over them.  Speaking for myself of course...
But then again....so are these dudes.
And so we cruised.
And took selfies.
Along with big foot sightings.
Meanwhile up stream, we see this dude doing exactly what the doctor ordered....
Wildlife refuge...yea buddy.
We got on it too.

Doing what we love.
Making the little moments count.
The temps were at an all time high of maybe ninety-
So into Topock we went.
The place where chocolate milk water is so famous.  yuck.

See?
Along with good drinks, and big smiles.
You can definitely see the change of seasons now.  The sun shines just a little bit different.
The water glistens with just a little more intensity.  But in a good way.
After all, it was less than ninety degrees.
The sunset gave me this view.
And these babes.  I can def say there is "The Sprinkler" dance goin on.  And...maybe the cabbage patch?
 And the shimmy.
Meanwhile, the lifeguard stayed on guard.

Before you know it, we rolled the lounge chairs back under shade.  The shades were pulled.  The house checklist checked.  Down the long forty. To here.  Time to sing along and dance to my favorite band of all time.  Anyone remember who?
So I jumped in the back seat, pulled my braids out.  Rolled em' into buns.  Put on my big gold earrings.  Slid on what I thought would work.  And boom.  We landed here.
The LA Fairgrounds.  Which to my dismay, is disgusting and icky.  sorry, not sorry.
Stand in long lines to stand in more long lines.  To walk another 3 miles to stand in lines.  To dodge strollers of babies that should have been home, many oh so many hours before.  Just one of those place.  But.....

But.....

I was able to let my tummy turn upside down watching people fly across the sky.  More yuck.  #afraidofheights  #notmything.

But....we did get to see KISS live.  ha.
Whew.  Finally, after one long weekend of too much silly fun.  We'd land here.  Jealous?  No?  Strollers, and people running into you?

After 5 hours in the car.  Long lines, trillions of people...tired eyes, and sober bodies.  (I know, rub your eyes and shake your head with me)
We landed here in this nest.     BAD COMPANY!

It was quite the night.  Sober.  Dancing, and singing to every single song.   I had chills, and a smile to light up the night.
I will miss this water.  It brought some good fast fun this weekend.
I feel like this today.  But what is this life if we can't step away from the plate for just a moment.

Together.

Alive.

Healthy.

And able.

Right?

Right.

Happy Monday Worker Bee's.

Go get em.

Remember, you were born to be real.  Not perfect.  (Read that on our school website this morning) Talk about eye opening for bullying.  Love, love it.

ps.  Miss. Kali was named Student of the Month!  What a nice kick ass way to start off her and our week.

Little bits of them.

This week my parents checked in on my bloggy blog.

And apparently my rough last week made them sad.

Tears welled into their eyes.

It's not my intention.

This life can be hard.

As most of you know, I say it, as I feel it.

Just as much as I preach kindness, and love.

I feel frustration and tough moments too.

I will never just post all the glory and perfection.

Because we all know, that's not this real life.

If my life is bearing hard weight, you will know.

If times are good, don't you worry yourself, you will know.

I like to keep it real. And sometimes it can be sad, and hard.

I do know those that work their asses off will show a better future.

But sometimes that is easier said than done.  Waaay easier said than done.

Raising competent well rounded kids, can be hard.

Running a company can be hard. Super hard.

Not sleeping well at night.  Can be hard.

But at the end of the day, we lean on those that help us get through.

And through the strength that was given to me by two people who brought me here.

Is how I do it.

Because of little bits of them.

Thank you Mom and Dad...

I love you both deeper than you may know.  And thank my lucky stars that you are still here to talk to.

Happy Friday, I hope you all have a great weekend.

I will be tucked away somewhere with my feet in the water.  boom.

Big love,

This lucky girl.

My bloopers.

I need to clean up my computer of "pictures"-  Folder after folder filled with my life.  Our life.
Through these folders I find my bloopers.  The ones that didn't quite make it on de' blogge'- Here we have "prop check"-
These pictures take. me. right back.  What we were doing.  And what it involved. ha.  le cocktails, leaving Cabo.  Round one.  Kyoko, kyoko, kyoko.  Best times ever.  Airport peeps loved us.
I mean would you just look at this.
Sorry Kali, I just had to. Awkward participation-  And no she wasn't drinking.  Cabo you were good to us.  uh oh Gio. haha!
Lame orange vests.  And sober.  Nerds.
Mom, I can't see you.
Fireball creates a model.  HAHAHA! ewww- For those that know me, I will never pose in a bathing suit.  (except for that one in Maui.  Remember that one?)

The first view of the American Music Awards.  Always so spectacular.
Who has the sexiest legs?

And then we have the departing for Cabo.

K, Ready?
The trick to this, is zoom in on my face.  Honey badger.
After a couple of brews.....and onto chili fries.  Get it girl.

Hold on while I tie us up.  hahaha. Just don't spill my wine.

Help, I can't get my flippers on.
hiiiiiiiiiii    hahahaha.

And there my friends, are some that were deleted.

How's your week been?

I have two new baby turtles.  Milo and Harper.
More on them next week.  Cute little fellers.

Marley was missing for most of our day and night (yesterday) which turned our house upside down.
A quick trip to the shelter, several drives around my streets.  And many, oh, so many walks around the block.
No worries kids.  All is good.  She came home late last night.  My girl came into my room at 11:30 in tears, with Marley in her arms.
A dude that lives with me must have let her slip out in the morning.  That's weird huh.  ha.

For you non-cat lovers, I get it.  Well, actually I don't.
These sweet peaches are my light, and happiness on days when humans rock every inch of my being.

Trust me on that.

Almost every animal that I have were rescued.  I didn't ask for her to be in our lives.
Just like most abandoned or abused animals.
The speechless.

The ones without words.
Just little hearts that beat, and ask to be loved.

Happy Thursday.

Remember to wash, wash, wash your hands kids.  Those nasty flu bugs are flying around....and landing when least expected.

Love, Peace and chicken grease.

Be kind to animals.
Don't forget to spay and neuter em too.
